DPMC MkII Phono Preamplifier
The Jadis DPMC MkII is Jadis’ entry level, hand-crafted MM/MC phono preamplifier. With select point-to-point wiring, 66dB of gain and a precision volume control, optimal cartridge matching opens the window into vinyl.
The DPMC’s key highlight is its power supply – featuring a tube-based series pass regulator consisting of an EL84 beam power tube and an EF86 pentode. This tube regulated power supply ensures optimal stability while the ultra-silent circuit lets the music shine through in its purist form. Four ECC83s are used for the preamp with RIAA correction.
Using 4 ECC83 for voltage gain, the Jadis DPMC is an all tube MM/MC phono preamplifier with ideal RIAA correction. A tube regulated power supply, consisting of both an EL84 and EF86 tube, ensures absolute stability of this unit under all playback conditions. The MkII version features a new internal layout optimized for better isolation and input impedance selections between 48KΩ, 1KΩ, 300Ω, 100Ω for an optimal match with your cartridge. Dimensions: 17.9″x 12.6″x 4.9″ and 24.4 lbs.
As the DPMC amply demonstrates, there is plenty of magic left in the classical approach, especially when coupled with a modern, well-regulated power supply. With the DPMC you can have your sonic cake and eat it too.
